1. Global Passport Index 2017 released by financial advisory firm Arton Capital. It ranks countries based on the number of nations their citizens can visit without a visa or on arrival visa. India ranked low at 78th position with visa free score of 46. Top 2 Germany (1st), Singapore (2nd). Afghanistan’s is least powerful passport. China and Pakistan were ranked 58th and 94th respectively.
2. Inclusive Development Index (IDI) 2017 in World Economic Forum’s (WEF) ‘Inclusive Growth and Development Report’ India ranked 60th among 79 developing countries. Top 5 developing economies Lithuania (1st), Azerbaijan (2nd), Hungary (3rd), Poland (4th), Romania (5th). Top 5 advance economies Norway (1st), Luxembourg (2nd), Switzerland (3th), Iceland (4th) and Denmark (5th) BRICS Russia (13th), China (30th) and Brazil (30th), South Africa (70). Neighbours China (15th), Nepal (27th), Bangladesh (36th) and Pakistan (52nd).
3. Jones Lang LaSalle’s City Momentum Index (CMI) Released, tracking speed of change of a city’s economy and commercial real estate market. Bengaluru (Karnataka) is named most dynamic city in the world. 10 cities Bengaluru (India), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Silicon Valley (US), Shanghai (China), Hyderabad (India), London (UK), Austin (US), Hanoi (Vietnam), Boston (US) and Nairobi (Kenya).
4. Talent competitiveness Index list 2017 released, measuring ability of countries to compete for talent. The index is produced by global business school INSEAD in partnership with Adecco Group and Human Capital Leadership Institute (HCLI) of Singapore. India ranked 92nd among 118 countries in List.

5. Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2016 by Berlin (Germany) based Transparency International India has been ranked 79th out of 176 countries. India Shares 79th Position (Score 40) with China, Brazil and Belarus.

1. Economic Freedom 2017 released by US based Think Tank The Heritage Foundation

• India ranked 143rd out of 186 economies with score of 52.6 points, compared to 123rd rank last year.
• Top 5 countries Hong Kong (1st), Singapore (2nd) and New Zealand (3rd), Switzerland (4th) and Austria (5th).
• Bottom 5 Eritrea (176), Congo (177), Cuba (178), Venezuela (179) North Korea (180)
• Neighbours Nepal (125th), Sri Lanka (112th), Pakistan (141st), Bhutan (107th), and Bangladesh (128th).

2. International Intellectual Property Index (IIPI) 2017 (The Roots of Innovation) by US Chamber of Commerce’s Global Intellectual Property Centre (GIPC) India ranked 43rd among 45 nations, ahead only to Pakistan (44th) and Venezuela (45th). India scored a meagre 8.75 out of a total of 35 points, falling significantly behind the median score of 15.39.

• Top 5 United States (1st), United Kingdom (2nd), Germany (3rd), Japan (4th), Sweden (5th).
• BRICS China (27th), South Africa (33rd), Brazil (32nd) and Russia (23rd).

3. 2016 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report by Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania (TTCSP) India's Centre for Civil Society (CCS) ranked among top 100 think tanks globally (Rank 80). Besides, nine other Indian institutes also have figured among the top 175. UK’s Chatham House is top think tank In Non US Category and USA’s Brookings Institution retained as top think tank worldwide in US Category.

4. Mercer’s Quality of Living index rankings 2017 Overall Living Quality Hyderabad (Telangana) named best Indian city in terms of quality of living, for 3rd consecutive time.

• Highest ranking cities in Asia and Latin America are Singapore (25) and Montevideo (79).

5. City infrastructure rankings Singapore topped the list followed by Frankfurt and Munich both in 2nd place. Baghdad (230) and Port au Prince (231) ranked at the bottom for city infrastructure. Indian cities Mumbai ranked highest at 141, followed by Kolkata (149) and Pune (151).
