- US based National Basketball Association (NBA) launched its first basketball school in India in Mumbai (Maharashtra), as part of a multiyear agreement with India on Track (IOT). USA, Canada and Mexico made a joint bid to host 2026 FIFA World Cup, making it first time that World Cup would be shared by three hosts. It will also be first tournament that would see 48 teams participating instead of the earlier 32.
